Our client is a global industry leader in the design, manufacture and maintenance of major mining, earthmoving and lifting equipment. As a result of continued growth, they are looking to engage a Warehouse Storeman.
This role is an immediate start, with hours ongoing Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Candidates will commence on a casual basis and transition to perm based on performance after 6 to 12 months.
This is a small site of about 10 people and you will often work alone in the warehouse - this means we are looking for someone who can work autonomously, is self-motivating and will use your initiative and drive to excel. You will be responsible for operating the Counterbalance forklift, picking orders, customer service and must be competent with computers and computer systems.
The role will consist of:
-Operating the Counterbalance Forklift - moving stock, unloading and loading trucks
-Picking orders (using manual picking slips)
-Parts Interpretation - liaising with customers via phone and email, figuring out what parts they would like to order
-Placing customer orders
-Ordering new parts and stock, conducting stocktakes and understanding warehouse stock levels
-Organising deliveries and freight, managing incoming and outgoing goods
-Invoicing
-General warehousing
Successful candidates will meet the follow Key Selection Criteria:
-Current LF License
-Computer competent - ordering stock, placing customer orders
-Strong verbal and written communication skills - will be directly dealing with customers
-Confident taking orders over the phone and assessing the customer's needs
-Self-motivated, hard working, reliable and strong work ethic
