Associated Retailers Limited is one of Australia’s largest independent buying groups with over 500 retail stores nationally. We are seeking an individual who has experience in managing stock with the ability to provide first class customer service and sales to our customers. The Stock Controller will be based onsite at our Toyworld Townsville store reporting to the Store Manager.
The role:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and stock management systems according to set standards
- Placing orders as required through electronic ordering and POS systems
- Receipting and processing Purchase Orders
- Processing of claims and faulty goods
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with suppliers to enable easier procurement of products
- Maintain a high level of order in the warehouse and ensure proper arrangement of stock free from clutter
- Promote and demonstrate a strong focus on health and safety
- Assisting on shop floor when required providing exceptional customer service whilst contributing to store sales targets
The person:
- Vast retail experience
- Highly confident with stock monitoring software
- Proven track record in driving and exceeding KPIs
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong work ethic
- Great communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to juggle many priorities at once
- Exceptional eye for detail
