A bit about the role

This is a great opportunity to join the Supply Chain team at our national support office in Hawthorn East. Reporting into the Planning Manager, you will monitor sales trends, manage sales forecasts, orders and stock flow to ensure maximise the performance of the Bunnings import program.

This is a true business partner role, where you will work closely with the merchandising, direct sourcing, marketing, ethical sourcing and distribution centre teams to review current performance and identify opportunities to drive better business outcomes.

Some key aspects of the role include:

  • Use planning tools to manage stock flow to store network requirements
  • Manage product area of responsibility to achieve DC and store stock availability
  • Tailor stock flow to support events, marketing and advertising programs
  • Pro-actively pre-empt and identify issues with stock levels and apply strategies to resolve
  • Manage overseas supplier relationships to meet key supply and shipment dates
  • Analyse value added solutions to improve sell through, stock-turn and inventory flow

     

A bit about you

  • 3+ years’ experience in merchandising, supply chain or similar with a focus on forecasting, planning and analysis
  • Relevant tertiary education preferred
  • Strong financial acumen and reporting and analytical skills
  • Ability to influence at all levels, amongst both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to analyse data and produce relevant, accurate and timely information
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solving, prioritising and organisation skills
  • A collaborative team orientated approach
  • Solution focused
