Who are we looking for?
Due to our continuing growth and business expansion we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated logistics officer with initiative to join our growing and friendly team.
Stock control through 3rd Party Logistics’ Providers and logistics distribution are a critical part of our business model requiring an experienced, proactive and driven team player that takes pride in their work.
On time delivery to project sites all over Australia is another crucial requirement of the position. Our company will provide comprehensive training on this part of the position.
OVERVIEW
The Logistics officer supports Todae Solar's objectives to ensure goods and materials are always available, cost effective, high quality and satisfactory to clients, customers and internal teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and organise all logistics in terms of transport requirements around receipt, delivery, handling and storage of stock in an efficient and timely manner.
- Directly liaise with freight companies and maintain an efficient Logistics programme to support Projects that continues to add value to our customers and the business.
- Adopt and embrace in-house ERP system to maximise logistics productivity, accuracy of inventory management and delivery of stock reports.
- Manage and be accountable for stocktakes and inventory.
- Support the Procurement Coordinator and learn the role during leave periods.
- Provide support to the Project Management.
- Liaising with our 3rd Party Logistics Providers.
- Flexible and pragmatic, able to learn quickly and respond to project needs and priorities
- Strong communications skills, applying listening and learning to adapt and build better solutions.
- Good understanding of different logistics approaches and issues
Essential Skills required
- Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.
- Demonstrated 5 years minimum experience in Logistics management.
- Show experience in the transportation of oversized and Project based deliveries.
- Have an understanding of Microsoft Projects and Gantt charts.
- Be conversant with ERP Systems and be willing to assist in the implementation of a new ERP System.
- Be conversant with Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and ability to demonstrate high level of job accuracy.
- Highly collaborative working style that embraces a common team business goal that focuses on delivering excellent project delivery.
- Self-pride in owning the role with initiative to work reliably and autonomously.
- Strong and positive communicator that has the ability to convey information effectively through the use of logic and reasoning.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with professionalism.
- Be project driven.
- Experience working in the Solar industry desired but not essential.

- Agility – to improve and move with a fast transforming organisation imputing initiatives to improve the Logistic role within Todae Solar
