Description                

The Warehouse Labourer will work with stakeholders from all Functional Areas to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse environment and customer deliveries, you will be responsible of the picking and packing customer orders, management of stock, forklift operation and following the warehousing processes. Working closely with the Warehouse manager you will be part of the warehouse team who will communicate constantly to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse environment. You will ensure that housekeeping standards are continually maintained, and products are returned to their correct locations. You will be required to interact with customers and support with product enquiries. The role will require drive, commitment and a pro-active, flexible approach. This is a casual position leading to fulltime for the ideal candidates there is a requirement for some Saturday shifts.

Key Role Function:

• You will be responsible for picking and packing customer orders and follow packaging instructions to the agreed quality standards.
• You will be required to work efficiently, learn quickly and be able to work unsupervised
• Making sure that the daily work schedules are followed and daily tasks completed
• You will ensure that safety and quality are a key element of every work day
• Working with managers to implement the company's policies, procedures and goals
• Maintain Layout and work with management efficient space utilisation
• Any damaged stock detected in this process is to be removed, notify manager and have replaced prior to being wrapped or replaced in its location
• Participate in regular cycle counts and stock takes
• Safe Forklift operation loading trucks and manoeuvring large timber packs in a tight warehouse
• Ensure that housekeeping is always at the agreed standard.
• Insure that all reporting and data is produced as directed
• Ensure your work area is kept is an organised and tidy state always. Any tools implements are to be store and accounted for daily, scheduled maintenance is to be carried out accordingly and any fault or damage to equipment is to be reported to management immediately.
• You will be expected to collaborate in other tasks and activities that will be out of your main responsibilities
• Adopt and strive to implement and sustain all continuous improvement initiatives.
• Be a positive and professional influence with all interactions within the workplace.
• Lead by example within the workplace for example but not limited to, working the hours needed to complete the required work, problem solving, dedication to task at hand.

You will have experience in a similar role within the Warehousing sector. You will have experience operating a counterbalance or side loading forklift loading trucks and moving large timber packs up to 8 meters. You will be curious about the business and will propose solutions to streamline processes. You will be a great communicator, have a can-do attitude, and will be eager to immerse yourself into our fast-paced environment. If you understood Lean Manufacturing principles this would be a clear advantage. You will have a clean drivers licence and a valid forklift licence. You are seeking a role that will see you support the warehouse manager and be part of the warehouse team and ultimately deliver product on time to our customers. You will be an Australian Resident with fluent English.  Your ability to communicate and work with people at all levels, and support process improvements will also be critical to your success.
