With the recent joint venture USG Boral Building Products are now looking for an experienced Trade Store Operator to join their team based in Rockhampton. Reporting to the Trade Sales Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the daily operations of the Rockhampton Trade Sales Store, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
Key duties:
- Provide a high level of customer service to customers both over the phone and face to face
- Maintain and build relationships with existing and new customers
- Pick customer orders for plasterboard and associated products
- Load customer vehicles and Company delivery truck
- Process orders into the Inventory Management System
- Maintain the HSEQ Safety Management System
- Inventory control & stock takes
- Cash handling and banking
- Maintain a safe, clean and tidy store, and
- Processing & maintaining reports
Must haves:
- Previous counter and phone sales experience preferably in building or other trade environment
- Solid customer service experience and proactive selling skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret customer orders
- A full drivers licence and forklift ticket
- Warehousing experience
- Computer literate
- Previous quoting and cash handling experience
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work Monday to Saturday
