Our client is a manufacturer of industrial equipment.
Description
Reporting through to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will have significant responsibility across supply chain areas. You will lead and coach staff to ensure continuous development and improvement of teams and individuals.
Your tasks will include:
- Managing raw material and four finished goods warehouses in Australia and abroad
- Managing purchasing & sourcing
- Managing manufacturing department
- Working with other departments collaboratively, maintain cooperative relationships with external stakeholders
- Improving quality of products - Warranty/Scrap/Manufacturing rejects analysis
- Implementing production planning, scheduling and analysis of production activities
- Leading negotiations with suppliers to sustain as an exporter of equipment
- Managing day-to day operations
Profile
Our client are seeking an outstanding people leader with strong knowledge in technical industry who is looking to advance their career.
The main tasks will include:
- At least 10+ years of experience in managing manufacturing and operations teams
- Technical acumen for mechanical and electronic products
- Experience in translating strategy into operational reality and successfully implementing operational excellence improvement initiatives
- A highly capable leader with a demonstrable track record in driving superior performance and leading change through motivating, developing and building highly motivated and effective teams
- Inclusive leadership style, with demonstrated commitment to leading and cultivating a culture of accountability and business excellence through safety and quality service delivery
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build effective long term relationships across all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders
- Experience in driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment
