Operations Supervisor – Muswellbrook
JR Richards & Sons Waste Management Services
JR Richards Waste Management Services are seeking to employ an experienced, motivated Operations Supervisor for our busy Muswellbrook NSW based business.
The successful applicant will supervise all fleet operational aspects in the Muswellbrook Region. This is a permanent, full time position.
Your new role
You will be responsible for fleet management that includes transport solutions, along with management of waste collection vehicles, waste, organics and recyclables collections and routes. Another aspect of the role will be the supervising of driving staff and contractual responsibilities that relate to the above collections. The role will also cover general office duties as required. Additional responsibilities include the adherence to Key Performance Indicators and the overseeing of bin delivery / relocation and recoveries.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a strong background in transport and logistics with a sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility legislation and WH & S. You will be able to work effectively as part of a team as well as being able to work autonomously. Your communication and leadership skills will be of a high order and you will be competent within Microsoft computer systems.
Position Requirements
· Allocate resources to ensure both safety and maximum vehicle utilisation.
· Monitor Quality Assurance processes and procedures.
· Co-ordinate driver's workloads in accordance with fatigue management systems and processes.
· Provide regular reporting to the Regional Manager.
· Ideally you will have at least two years’ experience in a similar transport related role or environment, preferably in a logistics operational role.
· Sound Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail.
· Previous experience in a similar or waste management role will be advantageous to your application.
· A HR licence will be required as a minimum.
