Our client, an industry leading privately owned company in the Premium Gift & Home Products sector has been operating successfully since 1973. They are seeking a Specifications Manager to ensure the consistent integrity of the product range, respond to customers requirements and be a key part of developing new products.
This role reports to the Group Product Manager. Your key responsibilities will include creating product specifications for costing, production & sampling, ensuring specifications meet customer needs and contributing product expertise to the new product development team.
You will have a thorough understanding of construction technology and manufacturing processes such as injection moulding, extrusion, wood workings, CNC routing, lamination etc. Understanding of wood, MDF, metal, and plastics is pivotal in this role. Industrial design skills will also sit comfortably with your ability to focus on problem-solving to get innovative products to market.
This position will suit someone who is into innovation and loves the challenge of overcoming technical issues. You’ll have the capacity to ‘think outside of the box’, be capable on CAD systems and want to use your technical experience to help propel a business into some big marketplaces.
