The Role
Reporting to the Production Manager the role of Warehouse Manager comes with a high degree of responsibility and accountability. You will lead, manage and improve the movement of raw materials & finished packed goods from production, to our store through to dispatch. You will have a key focus on stock movement and the timely and accurate dispatch of freight both interstate and internationally. You will effectively coach staff and liaise with transport providers to provide exceptional customer service, and will be strongly committed to WHS policies and procedures.
Duties: Included but not limited to
- Implements & oversee quality control techniques and procedures to ensure best practise inventory management, customer service & WH&S is maintained
- Supervise and lead a small team of stores & warehouse staff.
- Administration skills, preparing daily reports, knowledge of Excel and ERP Systems an advantage
- Physical auditing of assets and overseeing stock-take.
- Keep your warehouse neat, tidy and safe.
- Oversee external transport contractors
- Forklift maintenance bookings
- Review delivery and pick up paperwork with the admin team
Position Requirements:
- Prior Warehouse Management experience.
- Receivables experience within a logistics, transport/warehouse environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong rapport with your staff and colleagues.
- Communication within all divisions essential.
- Good working knowledge of ERP Software an advantage, intermediate Excel skills used for data entry purposes.
- Strong Verbal communication and leadership skills, you take pride in your work and motivate others to follow your lead.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and problem solve with your team.
- Team focused with an engaging personal style.
- Current forklift license
- Capability to perform hands on stores & warehousing duties
- Daily tool box meetings and daily planning with your staff.
