WA Cutting Services, part of the Southern Steel Group, provides quality precision cutting services, using the latest High Definition Plasma technology. An excellent opportunity currently exists for an experienced Estimator to join the team at our Welshpool site. This is a permanent, full time position with an immediate start!

You will be required to promote the products and services of WACS to existing and new customers, as well as handle enquiries for plate profiling estimating and day to day business. Programming and scheduling of jobs will be an important part of your day, to ensure work is completed in a cost efficient manner with excellent customer service.

Your duties will include (but not be limited to):
• Understand and interpret client requirements from verbal and written specifications
• Read and take off engineering / example drawings
• Negotiate with customers and suppliers via phone/email
• Job costing including determining machinery, material and labour requirements

Ideally applicants will have the following skills and experience:
• Knowledge of the steel and plate profiling industry
• Excellent customer service, communication and computer skills
• A sound knowledge of plate profiling equipment
• Internal sales and estimating experience
