About the Role
As the Continuous Improvement Process Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the Murarrie Site with specialist continuous improvement / process engineering, technical and leadership capabilities to drive process efficiency, productivity and equipment reliability improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and quality the first consideration in all activities
- Agent of change through lean leadership
- Ownership of the development of an additive 3 – 5 year site capital program, building upon Kerry and industry best practices
- Capital program manager responsible from FEL to close-out, demonstrating strong capital process management
- Identifying no / low capital options that align with the broader capital program resulting in operational efficiencies
- Manage Lean Six Sigma projects on site that deliver improvement to key KPI’s
- Process optimisation through use of data analysis, design of experiments, capability analysis, systems and process improvements
- Train and lead cross-functional continuous improvement teams; focusing on measurable quality, cost improvements and process mastery in process operations
- Enhance plant reliability using tools such as FMEA and analysis of MEX data
- Identify automation opportunities, linking to the long term capital vision and site labour productivity map
- Develop process expertise in key site processes; extrusion, freezer technology, wet processes and dry blending
- Troubleshoot on-line issues, working with operations, Quality and R&D to problem solve to root cause
- Undertake all work according to food safety standards and good manufacturing practices
To be successful in the role, you will
- Degree qualified Engineer with Manufacturing experience is essential
- Lean Six Sigma qualification is preferable
- Excellent Root Cause Analysis and problem solving skills
- Strong functional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Key Competencies:
- Ability to work at all levels in a collaborative manner
- High level of motivation and initiative with ability to work independently
- Team based problem solving skills, using data to analyse processes
- Experience with use/application of Lean &/or Six Sigma preferred
- Recognize the importance of building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships
