About the position

An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated and highly efficient Team Leader to join the Government and Defence Team in Richmond, NSW. The Team Leader will be required to provide support with stocktaking, inventory management, invoicing, receipting, customer service and reporting as well as performing general store duties such as high reach and counter balance forklift operation, RF scanning and pick / pack duties.  

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and motivating your team of up to 10 stores people to deliver operational excellence from all areas of warehouse and distribution including safety, receiving, reporting, inventory management and quality control. 

This role will require flexibility with your start times rotating over an 8 week period as outlined below:

Week 1-6 7:30-3:36pm Week 7 8:24-4:30pm

Week 8 4:14-11:50pm

Reporting to the Site Supervisor the successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Participating and committing to Safety Standards and COR requirements at all times.
  • Providing exceptional leadership and direction to staff to ensure KPI's are met and exceeded
  • Managing staff issues including absenteeism and performance levels 
  • Assist with quality requirements by accurately inspecting and recording all inbound freight movements into the DC
  • Controlling staff rosters and workload to meet and exceed customer requirements.
  • Liaising with transport providers and the greater warehouse team to ensure an accurate and efficient inbound process.

About you

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Proven leadership experience and capabilities including ability to effectively engage staff
  • Access and knowledge of MILIS, CVS & DTP and TM9 (desirable)
  • Extensive computer skills – Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook knowledge
  • Strong communication skills and effective negotiation abilities
  • Exceptional relationship building with customers across all levels.
  • Understanding of RF scanning systems.
  • Inventory control function knowledge such as receiving, returns, credits, reconciliation
  • Desire to succeed and drive continuous improvement
  • Commitment to Linfox safety culture and values

Further Information

You will be required to meet Linfox's employment criteria which will include but not be limited to a Criminal History Check and full medical with a drug and alcohol test.  

Applicants will require eligibility to obtain a minimum level of baseline security clearance as determined by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA), which may include ability to obtain Australian citizenship.  Maintenance of this level of clearance at all times during employment in this position is an inherent requirement of the role.
