Mining Technicians Group Australia (MTGA) is an innovative company specialising in implementing and supporting technology and communications products on mobile machinery at minesites and manufacturing network infrastructure.
MTGA are currently seeking an experienced purchasing officer to control and track business purchases from initiating orders to delivery and payment.
Your experience and knowledge will assist the business moving forward in this crucial new role. You will ensure the accurate purchasing of detailed orders for all manufacturing and administrative requirements. Cost coding and allocating cost functions, setting up new products and rearranging a new item code naming protocol will all be required of the position. Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure the timely ordering, receipt, recording of deliveries and payment to suppliers.
Your experience and contribution will assist the business in ensuring the purchasing and this dynamic and growing organisation. You will ensure growing for a grwLogistics / Store Supervisor to manage the growing and increasingly complex store and logistic requirements of the business. You will ensure the strict control over store consumables, manufacturing parts and equipment. In addition, ensure the detailed receipt of items and efficient dispatch of goods.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
Essential:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Detailed Working knowledge of purchasing and payment capabilities in MYOB
- Be able to solve problems, and think critically.
- Be comfortable working in a small team and autonomously without need for supervision.
- Effective Time-management skills
- Effective negotiator and research skills to achieve best value pricing.
- Sound inter-personal communication skills
- Team orientated
Desirable:
- Knowledge and experience with ISO 9001 Quality Systems
- Knowledge and experience in ERP systems
- Manufacturing and/or electrical Industry knowledge and experience.
