We currently have an opening for an experienced Container Unloading Supervisor for our Sydney branch. This role is a hands on blue collar position that will see the successful candidate being involved in daily container unloading activities as necessary. We are seeking someone who has previously worked in the shipping container unloading industry.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Taking daily bookings from clients for the following days container unloading
- Allocating required labour to the following days work by communicating with container crews
- Daily site visits to West and South Western areas of Sydney (company car provided).
- Communicating with container crews to ensure containers are unloaded on the day
- Meeting with candidates for inductions on site or at head office.
Education & Experience
- 2 years or more experience in the hand unload of shipping container industry
- Knowledge of shipping container unloading processes or in-bound warehouse management experience preferred
- IT Literate and intermediate computer skills
- Current forklift licence with 2 years + recent forklift driving experience
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
