About the business and the role

Advance Cables is well respected Australian ISO accredited electrical cable manufacturer based in Victoria, with distribution to most major electrical wholesalers. We employ over 50 staff with a strong commitment to customer growth and satisfaction throughout every level of our business.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels and maintain sufficient inventory for the production demands.
• Forecast demand and order materials to meet lead times.
• Responsibility for obtaining and negotiating pricing and quotations.
• Strong proficient warehouse organisational skills.
• Responsible for meeting customer expectations on delivery of manufactured goods, by road, rail and sea freight.
• Responsible for direction and supervision of warehouse employees in line with company policies and OH&S.
• Receiving and dispatching orders.
• Data entry and invoicing.
• Stock control through stocktaking and cycle counting.

Skills and experience

• Good English communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Good computer skills with strong excel knowledge.
• Willing and capable of following directions.
• Positive, a willingness to learn and ask questions when in doubt.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed to drive a manual vehicle.
• Current forklift license.
• Warehouse & logistics certifications with demonstrated experience.
