Leading Multinational Forwarder located central Mascot seeking locally experienced Customs Compiler/Classifier to join Customs Team in Sydney office.
Your key function will be to assist the National Customs Team to prepare customs clearance declarations for submission to customs.
- Classifying and compiling of a variety of commodities within the customs tariff
- Liaising with shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders and government bodies
- Preparing and registering Australian Customs and AQIS entries
- Job registrations
- Providing a high level of customer service at all times
- Troubleshooting any queries with clients and internal departments
- Ensuring consignments are cleared in an efficient and timely manner
Key Competencies
- Knowledge of Australian Customs Tariffs is essential
- Understanding of the legal and regulatory aspects of moving goods into and out of Australia
- EdiEnterprise/CW1 experience will be very advantageous, but not essential
