Position Title:     

Reporting to the NSW State Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the day to day activities of the NSW Operations Team to deliver Branch goals, objectives and to ensure the efficient, accurate and timely receipt, inventory management and distribution of our Clients' products in a safe and values driven manner.

 

The Job:

  • Leading, managing and reporting on the daily and weekly output branch operations to ensure operational plans are executed well.
  • Operating the DC to achieve operational budgets and targets, minimising operating costs and maximising efficiencies.
  • Ensuring the branch operates as a Safe Work place through sound implementation of the WHS system by driving all initiatives and compliance proactively to ensure a safe work culture.
  • Ensuring the day to day control of key labour metrics through a daily labour plan and management of headcount, overtime, agency labour, absenteeism and turnover.
  • Provide a great customer experience through solid leadership of the allocations and inventory teams, ensuring DIFOT and fast returns management. 
  • Ensuring a high quality team is in place in the branch through sound recruitment processes and accountability through clear roles and performance plans; providing regular feedback and performance management vs Operational KPIs;
  • Ensure flexibility and backup through competency development, skills training and leadership development.

The Person:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 4 -7 years leadership experience in a logistics operation from a related industry
  • Qualifications related to Logistics or Supply Chain would be a distinct advantage
