This is a rare greenfield opportunity for a high performing procurement professional to innovate and implement processes, including category and supplier management.  Reporting directly to the CFO, the Procurement Manager will partner with external stakeholders to ensure maximum value through sourcing the best suppliers and striving for continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise key stakeholders on all procurement related activities.  
  • Demonstrate leadership and compliance in all activities that support procurement project plans.
  • Implement and manage PTP system with a focus on Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order system.
  • Manage RFP processes.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers including pricing structures & scorecard performance management.
  • Monitor category spend against budget and contracts.
  • Manage resources to prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders, purchasing all materials, equipment and services for the business.
  • Maintain and build business relationships with suppliers and stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Co-ordinate and manage logistics for deliveries.
  • Maintain up to date market knowledge of products, services and prices.
  • Conduct stock take.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor degree or Cert IV in Procurement, Commerce or related field. 
  • Minimum of 8+ year’s work experience in procurement, contracting, Supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated high level knowledge and experience in implementing contemporary procurement strategies, in particular policies and practices including PTP Systems and PO systems & processes.
  • High-level interpersonal verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence internal clients and senior management on complex procurement issues.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop staff in a team environment.
  • Experience in a Services industry is preferable.
