Your new company
A global leader in the renewable energy and infrastructure space who has a strong pipeline of projects locked in across Australia is seeking a procurement professional with experience within the civil projects and infrastructure sector.
Your new role
As the Procurement Coordinator you will be in a dynamic and varied role and working closely with the Australian and global procurement teams where you will be responsible for a range of procurement activities relating to the construction and operation of new project sites. Key duties will include:
- Conducting market, industry and product/services analysis
- Prepare information packages to support the negotiation process
- Develop the sourcing strategy and write procurement documents including RFx's
- Analyze and evaluate supplier responses and award contract
- Provide support and expert advice across procurement team and business as a whole
What you'll need to succeed
You will have had experience in a similar within civil infrastructure space and have intimate knowledge of the local supplier market and a proven history of procurement goods and services, such as civil, mechanical and electrical contractors. Key skills include:
- Ability to work in a procedure focused yet dynamic and varied, project driven environment is a must.
- Strong customer service mindset and able to deal with at times difficult stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to negotiate
- Aptitude for technical procurement and knowledge of civil/infrastructure related categories
- Experience in SAP ERP, WMS, PROCURe, SharePoint and the Microsoft Office suite
