Defence - Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
Heavy Diesel Mechanics position based in Western Sydney - working for market leading Defence Vehicle Manufacturer - Temp to Perm opportunity paying up to $40 per hour
Your new role :
On behalf of our customer, who are a market leading Vehicle manufacturer for the Defence and Commercial sectors. We are currently seeking qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanics located in Western and South Western Sydney. This offers a great opportunity to join the business on a long term defence contract and progress your career within the business. Your responsibilities will include maintenance tasks including inspection, classification, diagnostics and repairs on Light, Medium and Heavy Vehicles and Plant, as well as carrying out service tasks on equipment during routine maintenance. Replacing or repair damaged parts following inspections and effectively diagnose problems and perform work of a technical nature on a wide range of vehicles.
What you’ll need to succeed in the position :
Be a trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic at Cert III or equivalent level
Also willing to look at candidates who have their Light Vehicle qualification and are willing to obtain their Heavy Vehicle Certification
Hold a current Australian State or Territory open driver’s licence.
You must be an Australian citizen.
