Programmed are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Heavy Haulage Locomotive Drivers looking for work FIFO with our industry leading clients across the Pilbara region of WA.
These positions are Yard Driver and Shunter roles. Working a 2/1 roster pattern for training then moves to 2/2 roster, these casual positions are ongoing roles FIFO to the Pilbara from Perth.
Accommodation and meals are provided in a modern camp with a gym, wet & dry mess available for your use. Point of Hire is Perth so flights are not covered outside of Perth. Interstate candidates are welcome to apply but will have to fund themself outside of Perth for flights. Flights are covered from Perth to Karratha and return.
Preferred candidates will have experience with the following:
• Heavy Haulage (Iron Ore, Coal or Freight)
• Distributed Power
• Automatic Train Protection (ATP) or in cab signalling
• Electronically Controlled Pneumatic Braking (ECP)
Essential criteria include:
- Proven experience as a qualified Train Driver
- Current locomotive qualifications (Cert III or IV in Transport & Logistics) or Verification of competency
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- First Aid & CPR qualifications
- Operate & Maintain a 4WD certificate highly desirable
Our selection process may require you to complete/provide the following:
- Comprehensive Pre-Employment CAT 1 Rail Medical including Drug & Alcohol Screen
- Demonstrated track record of working safely
- Two recent contactable work related referees
- Role specific licences or qualifications
- Current Police Clearance
