Metso Australia are looking for an experienced planner/expeditor to join our operational procurement team. This role will be based in West Perth.

About the role:

In this role you will be responsible for processing and managing purchase orders and regular expediting to ensure delivery requirements are achieved. In addition to this some of your key responsibilities will include;

• Creating and managing purchase orders and coordinating supply to meet business requirements.
• Expediting purchase orders and liaising with vendors to ensure delivery requirements are achieved.
• Working with stakeholders to communicate the status of orders, and to understand and support business requirements and customer needs.
• Maintaining SAP master data records.

About you:

Essential

• Purchasing and expediting experience in construction, heavy industrial or mining industries.
• SAP experience (preferred)
• Strong understanding of purchasing and supply chain principles
• Excel (basic level)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate with and influence all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to manage competing demands with the ability to work towards tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
• Highly motivated and results focused.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Enjoys working in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment
