We are looking for a Product Developer in Melbourne, Australia, for a Global Company in the exciting beauty sector.
About the company:
The client is a global manufacturer and provider of packaging solutions for beauty brand owners. With offices in Europe, Asia, USA and Australia and a strategic network of manufacturing partners and a culture integrated with more than 20 different nationalities.
The client develops and manufactures personalized standard packaging as well as customised/bespoke packs, for prestige, masstige and mass-market customers, with specialist divisions dedicated to the skin care, make-up and fragrance sectors.
About the role:
Your main mission will be to procure efficient processing of the functions from project quotations, package development, and logistics.
Key Functions & Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Quotation:
- Support in the identification of the most suitable packaging to meet the requirements of each project.
- Support with the sales team member involved in the project stage referred to as quotation, drafting the offers in the SAP system
Development:
- Directly responsible for the entire management of project stage referred to as Development.
- Prepare testing and color matched samples to help progress the project to purchase order stage.
- Create project timelines to the client outlining key milestones.
- Follow the pre-production sample process to gain approvals on samples and specifications in a timely fashion so the project can progress to production.
- Register new items and introduce modifications to articles in SAP in accordance with established company procedures.
- Maintain on-going and open communication with the assigned sales team member, the client and manufacturers.
- Fully comply with quality requirements established by the organisation to manage a development with a manufacturer.
Customer Services:
- Manage the order and logistics process to meet Quadpacks set service levels.
- Responsible for end to end input and updating of relevant order and logistics in SAP Business One system.
- Follow up logistic KPI´s related to cost, transportation, quality, delivery performance to improve the service level and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Coordinate order requirements for delivery with manufacturers, freight forwarders and client.
- Manage the shipping requirements finding the fastest and most cost-effective solution.
- Generate delivery note, packing list and transport instructions (origin and destination) for the freight forwarder.

About You:
- We are is seeking an empathetic, client focused, patient, and collaborative person.
- You are used to dealing with origin suppliers and freight forwarders
- You manage with a proficiency level Office 365.
- You have intermediate to advanced skills in manufacturing, inventory or logistics systems.
- You love attention to detail.
- You have at least two years’ experience in companies that develop products.
- Your excellent communication and customer service skills will be the key to success in this role
- You have the ability to work in a team environment
- If you speak Cantonese or Madarin language will be great! but not essential.
