Shifts available: (MUST BE AVAILABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY)
Day Shift - 7am to 3:30pm Mon - Thurs and 7am to 1pm Friday
Afternoon shift - 3:30pm to 12am Mon - Thurs and 1pm to 7pm Friday
Our Client is a leading manufacturer of roll formed steel products and systems based in Erskine Park. They are currently seeking machine operators for day and afternoon shifts to assist on the factory floor on an ongoing basis. The positions are initially offered on a temporary basis but the right candidates will have the opportunity to go permanent.
Reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Machine Setting
- Manual handling - repetitive lifting
- Packing and strapping products off the machine
- Feeding steel coils through machines
- Perform periodic quality and safety checks
- Daily housekeeping of the factory floor
Those that show potential and prove themselves to have an excellent work ethic may have the opportunity to be trained on other machines.
To succeed in this position, the ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience/exposure to manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift 8-10kgs repetitively
- Ability to lift up to 15kgs non-repetitively
- Experience within the steel industry is highly desirable
- Team player with good verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow written standard operating procedures
- Have a great work ethic with reliability and commitment
