About the position

An exciting opportunity is now available for a dedicated and highly efficient Operations Supervisor to join the team at our FMCG site located in Erskine Park NSW. This role will see you manage the daily operations inbound and outbound freight for one of our major customers. As one of the leaders on site, you will be expected to provide support to both your team and customers.
This is an integral role requiring a strong leader with a solid understanding of 3PL warehouse operations, Inventory, safety and people management. This position will be predominately core business hours, Monday – Friday with flexibility required as the need arises.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Participating and committing to Safety Standards and COR requirements at all times
- Building and maintaining a positive relationship with our customers
- Identification of continuous improvement strategies
- Leading and motivating a team to meet objectives across the operations in a rapidly changing environment
- Building capability of current operations team
- Ensuring your team is up to date with company policies and procedures
- Ensuring KPI's and reporting requirements are met and in line with customer expectations
- Ensuring correct labour allocation to various tasks based on work volume

About you
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Strong leadership qualities with a solid commitment to safe work practices
- Strong written and verbal communication in addition to excellent interpersonal skills
- The ability to adapt to changing demands and pressures
- Ability to coach staff and work collaboratively to maintain staff engagement
- A solid understanding of the functionality of Warehouse Management Systems
- Previous experience using SAP and Excel is essential
- A proven track record of success within a 3PL environment.
- Hands-on, highly visible leadership style and a willingness to get involved in the daily operation
