Compound Team Leader
CEVA Logistics has an opportunity for an experienced, driven and demonstrated Compound Team Leader at our facility in Port Kembla.
Reporting to the Compound Supervisor the successful applicant will support the operations to ensure our business is providing exceptional customer service and a seamless supply chain process for internal and external stakeholders. In addition the successful applicant will be
Responsibilities;
- To develop and maintain excellent service to internal and assigned external customers at all times, ensuring timely response within their expectations.
- Prepare and complete manifests based on incoming shipments and surveying vehicles.
- Assist in picking wholesaled vehicles for despatch to the customer network as advised, while maintaining a safe and efficient process and maintaining nil damage.
- Monitor all incoming wharf shipments daily and be able to provide status updates as required by management and the customer.
- Assist driver if no manifest is retained at time of vehicle pick up.
- Prepare and finalise any administration functions for the site.
- Conduct weekly and daily site walk through of the entire compound to ensure site is safe and vehicles have not been damaged
- Assist our customer in storing vehicles safely within the compound as per customer safe handling procedures.
- Be able to carefully maneuver a brand new manual vehicle through tight and restrictive spaces.
- Perform internal and external audits as per ISO standards and complete compliance tasks.
- Liaise between the customer and CEVA to efficiently despatch vehicles to the customer dealer network.
- Participate in quarterly stock take activities where required by the customer.
- Assist vehicle logistics division with assembly fitting to vehicles.
- Complete all site safety assessments to ensure new vehicles can be delivered without any environmental or structural influences.
- Ensure dealer delivery procedures are kept up to date within your region and issues with deliveries are addressed within a timely manner.
- Build relationships with customers through day to day contacts and face to face customer visits.
- Other duties as assigned and/or in conjunction with any operational requirements nationally to support the Compound Supervisor in any other operational capacity required or as directed.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience;
- Fork Lift licence and experience
- Previous exposure to safety, compliance and audit principles.
- Manual vehicle licence and on road driving experience
- Related work or industry experience
- Current manual licence
- Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage dispute resolution professionally
- Excellent written communication
- Intermediate level of MS applications
- Ability to work in a team and independently
