The organization we are working with is a market leader in structural steel construction. Being a well-respected company with a reputation for world class delivery, they are seeking an equally talented Operations Manager. This function is critical to maintain a high standard of project delivery, ensuring they continue to be a leader in heavy industry.
Reporting directly to the General Manager you will be responsible for supervising a large group of trade’s personnel. The company services a large variety of industries such as Mining, Energy, Water, Wine and general fabrication. Working with and assisting design teams to produce turnkey solutions for customers both internal and external.
Ideally you will have a proven track record in the steel fabrication industry. Along with a demonstrated background that includes a trade and at least 15 years of industry experience.
Responsibilities but not limited to.
- Daily scheduling and forecasting of labour and jobs
- Budget tracking and document control
- Material take offs and documentation
- Staff management and toolbox meetings
- WHS compliance
- Continuous Improvement
You will have relevant qualifications/experience and possess the ability to pick things up quickly. Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience, proficient with MS suite of products, a construction white card and ideally a cert 4 in WHS
