The Hammersley Group is seeking a Storeperson to organise the raw materials area of the manufacturing facility.
The head office and factory is conveniently located 20 mins drive north of the Newcastle CBD on Kooragang Island.
In this role you will;
- Provide assistance and support to the Manufacturing Manager in effectively and safely picking materials.
- Maintain the neatness of the stores area.
- Receive, check, document and store all materials and packaging products.
- Assist with picking and packing in the despatch area
- Work on the fill off line, labelling bottles and packing.
- Attend the production planning meetings & liaising with the Factory Manager regarding all factory work.
- Use the forklift
- Display good interpersonal & communication skills and work as a team player
- Perform general cleaning duties of work area and common areas.
- Load, unload, dispatch and sort products
- Satisfying internal & external customer needs
- Basic inventory control of materials
- Safe and responsible use of hand trolleys, pallet trucks & forklift
We are looking for an individual that has stores experience, is physically fit for heavy lifting and some manual handling work and motivated to keep our factory clean and organised. To be considered for this role, you need to take pride in your work and possess a 'can do', team player attitude, with a strong customer focus towards all work.
