About the role
As a senior team member, this role will involve working with your colleagues in road and rail allocations to manage the transport bookings for a variety of both internal and external customers for road transport movements both locally and interstate.
This is a pivotal role and will require a solid understanding of road transport compliance including mass management, driver fatigue management, load restraint and maintenance management to ensure that Linfox continues to uphold its reputation as a leader in safety and road compliance within the transport industry.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Participating and committing to Safety Standards and COR requirements at all times
- Allocating of work to both company drivers and contractors to ensure premium service
- Managing maintenance schedules and driver performance in line with Linfox policies
- Ensuring contractor compliance and welfare checks are conducted throughout the journeys including using our internal tracking systems and alerts for changes in routing
- Ensuring all jobs are booked in line with on road compliance requirements and Linfox safety guidelines
- Managing problems such as schedule changes, increase volume and staff shortages to maintain service
- Liaising with customers to take bookings and provide updates on product movement including estimated delivery times, cost and service

About you
To be successful you will need to possess:
- Knowledge of NHVAS and understanding of transport compliance
- Previous experience in road or rail container allocating with heavy vehicles
- Strong understanding of Excel and transport booking systems
- Excellent communication skills and a focus on customer experience
- Adaptability to changing demands and pressures
- Ability to work as a part of a high performing team
