Yusen Logistics is a world-leading total supply chain and logistics solutions provider with 15 locations across Australia and New Zealand.

We are recruiting an Account Coordinator to join our team based in Western Sydney. Reporting to the Account Supervisor, the Account Coordinator provides operational support to the Warehouse team. This role will liaise directly between internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and successful delivery of service to meet business and customer targets and objectives while maintaining high levels of service, accuracy and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the achievement of daily customer KPIs with regards to order preparation, picking, packing and shipping
  • Completion of relevant documentation for despatch of freight (e.g. consignment notes), ensuring they are saved electronically and/or sent to the appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to and support the Account Supervisor in the generation of billing information as per customer reporting requirements and SLAs
  • Contribute to the development, review, update and maintenance of  SOPs, workflows and processes in line with Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements, and communicate to team members as appropriate
  • Ensure inventory accuracy by reviewing and managing variance reporting on a daily basis, carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and execute Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA)
  • Support and provide recommendations for performing, modifying, and refining cycle count program to reduce inventory discrepancies
  • Contribute to and minute toolbox meetings
  • Conduct/support site inspections and safety audits as required
  • Ensure proper and effective use of Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to minimise damage of company assets and maximise the safety of employees, contractors and visitors
  • Report on all accidents, incidents and near misses, and damage to property to relevant WH&S and management stakeholders
  • Comply with policies and procedures whilst ensuring Workplace Health & Safety and  Kaizen principles are adhered to
  • Adhere to the Logistics Code of Conduct, and report any incidents or breaches of the Code to the relevant company contacts

Skills, Experience, Knowledge required:

  • Higher School Certificate or equivalent preferred
  • Intermediate level working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Demonstrated experience and general knowledge of warehousing, logistics, transport and administrative processes
  • Minimum of 3 years’ previous experience in similar role (preferably within Supply Chain / Logistics / Transport industry)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sound customer service principles and practices
  • Highly self-motivated and the ability to work effectively as part of a team effort or autonomously
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written), and the ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes for the business
  • Good interpersonal skills and experience in developing professional working relationships with internal stakeholders from across the business & external stakeholders (customers, partners, suppliers)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time while paying strict attention to detail and applying a high level of accuracy to data entry and reporting
  • Current and valid Forklift licence
