Our client is a growing organisation who are driven to succeed. With a range of quality catering products this company maintains an enviable position and so are seeking out a quality motivated Purchasing Officer to assist their team for a two-month temporary basis. The business is a leading supplier of catering products to a range of clients that include well-known brands. They are supportive of their people and maintain a strong focus on the quality and reliability of their products and services.
In this ‘hands-on’ role, you will be primarily responsible for coordinating the procurement/supply process across all the business and to ensure the customer has the right product at the right price whilst minimizing costs of excessive stock. Other duties and responsibilities will include providing cost effective purchasing services, ordering product and procure and receipt stock in a timely manner. Also process and maintain purchase orders to reflect latest information on delivery dates and pricing. You will be providing prompt response to requests and enquiries and actively follow up on outstanding tasks ensuring customers are regularly advised of the status of orders and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
To be considered for this role, you will have previously worked as a Purchasing Officer and bring experience within purchasing or inventory operations. You will ideally have Great Plains experience and have previously deal with overseas suppliers. As a professional in your field it is expected that you will bring a strong attention to detail, a methodical and organised approach and a strong work ethic.
