We are seeking a customer focused and enthusiastic person to join our team as Laboratory Manager, based in a key laboratory in Sydney. The role includes responsibilities for our concrete testing services in the greater Sydney region, leading a team in the order of 50 personnel including, supervisors, field testers and laboratory technicians. Hanson is independently accredited nationally for ISO 9001, AS/NZS 4801 and ISO 14001 as well as the National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) against ISO 17025.

The Role

• Ensuring safety is always the first priority
• Leading a large team of people with the assistance of skilled supervisors to ensure and develop team effectiveness and a strong culture.
• Ensuring NATA accreditation and driving improvement processes to achieve the highest technical service to internal and external customers
• Implementing management structures with robust communication systems to achieve Hanson’s values of high performance, respect and integrity, sense of ownership and accountability; and collaboration.

• Also, knowledge of quality systems and a university qualification in a relevant field will be highly regarded
