Due to the immense growth of our organisation, we have a new opportunity within our Procurement team. The newly created role of General Manager, Procurement will lead our procurement function to be a high performing support sector of our organisation.
The primary focus of the role will be responsibility for the end to end procurement operations to ensure products availability and compliance to operations throughout Australia for the unique sectors we operate in.
Key duties will include:
- Lead, manage and grow your area working with internal and external key stakeholders to achieve company strategy and business plans
- Retain and support long term supplier partnerships
- Negotiate and maintain commercial arrangements with supplier networks
- Continuous improvement and innovation with procurement services
- Ensure systems and processes are in place to protect procurement services and to remain compliant to industry requirements
Experience and personal attributes for the role will include:
- Tertiary qualifications in procurement/supply chain or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with fresh produce in procurement
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Procurement leadership position
- Strong leadership, management and coaching skills
- Exceptional influencing, negotiating and conflict resolution skills
- Business acumen, commercially minded, financial management skills
- Outstanding customer service philosophy and skills
