An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Specialist to join the Outsourced team at our Head Office in Mentone. Reporting to the Supply Manager, you will work with a range of 3rd party manufacturers of finished goods and continuously seek to drive increased profitability via innovation while maintaining alignment with our strategic direction and core values.
- Manage day to day procurement activities while maintaining compliance with operating procedures and processes;
- Develop and manage internal/external relationships by providing commercial and technical support to meet business objectives and goals;
- Maintain supplier assessment programs according to Class A and Procurement operating procedures;
- Manage complex cost modelling scenarios including total cost of ownership, and implementation of continuous improvement processes;
- Apply sound project management principles to identify and manage timelines, priorities, milestones, issues and risks; and
- Support decision making through management of system data integrity.
To be considered for this role you must have a solid knowledge of best practice procurement and supplier management processes, strong customer service focus, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a busy team environment. It is also expected that you will demonstrate a high level of practical and analytical skills, and have a solid understanding of MRP and spreadsheet applications. Experience in the Food/FMCG industry, supply chain management, logistics, Oliver Wight Class A, product development and JDE would also be well regarded.
