The Opportunity
The Supplier Relations team is expanding and we are now looking for a Senior Category Lead who’ll be responsible for the delivery of procurement and supplier relationship services supporting our Innovation and Technology Development and Corporate functions. The role is accountable to ElectraNet’s Manager Supplier Relations and will lead and manage a small team of procurement professionals, working collaboratively to establish and execute category plans and their associated sourcing strategies, the role will be heavily involved in negotiating supply contracts, as well as managing key internal and external relationships to drive performance and deliver value for money to our customers.

The Role
The Senior Category Lead is responsible for providing advice to internal customers, assisting in establishing of high value and complex supply arrangements with external providers, and maintaining corporate procurement policies, strategies and practices that deliver value for money at acceptable levels of risk. This newly created role, will work collaboratively with existing Supplier Relations leadership and team members to coordinate and enhance the delivery of the team’s functions.
About You
You will have a degree in a relevant field such as Procurement, Economics, Contract Law, Commerce or Business. Your demonstrated experience will cover category management principles, contracting to industry terms and conditions, commercial risk approach, and corporate and information technology procurement.
You will need to be a passionate category professional who is highly motivated to build key supplier relationships to both procure and manage the category with demonstrated leadership capability.
