An exciting and challenging career opportunity is currently available with Proteco Oils in Kingaroy to assist with the implementation and monitoring of quality and safety programmes associated with the manufacture of food grade and refined oils.

The position will be a full time permanent appointment and will include the following duties:

  • Expand, implement and monitor quality and food safety programmes including HACCP and ISO22000 and WHS policies, procedures and systems
  • Maintain and further develop related systemised documentation
  • Monitor QA and WHS system compliance through routine checks and audit programmes
  • Ensure the application of continuous improvement principles within a Quality Assurance culture
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing  standards, protocols, processes and procedures for quality control
  • Review, update and maintain all SOP’s for the QA and food safety programmes
  • Implement and monitor new regulations in all relevant departments
  • Ensure QA systems are compliant with 3rd party audit and customer product requirements
  • Develop and present training programmes for staff including inductions, safety training, QA and food safety initiatives
  • Monitor workplace risk assessments, incident investigations and reporting procedures

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • Qualifications or Certificates relevant to QA (or the willingness to obtain if experience is significant)
  • Experience with implementing and monitoring QA programmes and procedures
  • Proven organisational, administrative and accurate record keeping skills
  • A strong analytical and systems orientation with high attention to detail
  • The ability to drive change and best practice
  • A positive and proven proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent communication and team training skills to build working relationships with staff to achieve a compliance focused culture
  • Previous WHS experience or qualifications (an advantage but not essential)
  • Workplace assessment and training qualifications (an advantage but not essential)
  • Willingness to acquire additional qualifications or certificates as required by the workplace
