Volvo Group Australia is currently seeking a proactive and self-motivated Material Support Technician to join our Group Trucks Operations (GTO) FE Logistics team. The primary focus of this role is to assist in the maintenance and development of the factory materials systems in relation to parts management in order to support the broader Logistics Team.
You will provide a high level of customer service by ensuring parts are ordered and delivered on-time to meet Production's build requirements. This role is being offered on a 38 hour working week on a 12 month fixed term contract and will be based at our Industrial Avenue Facility.

About the role:
- Action the material control processes for the GTO FE Logistics team
- Administer the purchase orders and call-offs process
- Work closely with the Logistics Parts Coordinator to support decision ranges sorting lot sizes, stocking levels and policies for area of responsibility
- Support production during core business hours
- Assist with the management of the parts inventory to minimise risk of obsolescence
- Inform Production Planner in a timely manner of potential shortages of build critical parts
- Regularly provide accurate and timely feedback to relevant stakeholders on delivery issues through escalation process
- Manage additional workload requirements to accommodate New Product Introductions or major changes to the product.

- Working knowledge of material control including MRP and JIT systems
- Sound computer skills and accurate data entry skills
- Personal organisational skills including the ability to prioritise work
- Sound analytical and evaluation skills
