The Customer Control Centre has an exciting opportunity to join the team in the role of Customer Control Leader.

Reporting to the Team Leader - Customer Control Centre, you will work with other leaders within the organisation to respond to a range of unplanned disruptions or delays, through deploying resources and organising replacement bus services, while ensuring consistent information is communicated to our passengers and frontline staff.

You will play a crucial support role in a range of planned disruptions, forming important links with key projects such as the Level Crossing Removal and the Melbourne Tunnel projects, while ensuring the successful delivery of our special event programs such as the Spring Racing Carnival, White Night and New Years Eve.

Working closely with a multitude of internal departments including Metrol, Station Managers/Officers and the Authorised Officers, you will also hold responsibility for upholding a high level of professionalism when dealing with external agencies too.

Our ideal candidate will come to this role with a strong ability to deal with issues under pressure and make decisions. You will be able to take direction but give direction as well. Your peers describe you as a problem solver and you thrive in a fast paced environment. You have the ability to maintain a professional attitude while ensuring the most passenger centric outcome, as well the ability to compile summary reports for an executive level.

Above all, you need to care about people and the railway and come with extensive experience within an operational environment, ideally at Metro Trains Melbourne.
