The Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Business Analyst to join our busy Alexandria team. This role is responsible for the strategic guidance and support on major business decisions including the development of reporting and analysis tools, and to drive the planning process in line with the company’s objectives.
- Provide analysis on monthly profit and loss reports and financial advice in the execution of commercial business solutions.
- Support and lead the provision of accurate, useful and timely reporting of financial importance of the various business units.
- Analyse variances between actual and budget figures in monthly management reports, to gauge expected performance against financial targets, volume budgets and KPI’s.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, forecast and mid-term plans, as well as capital investment proposals. This will include detailed capital expenditure applications for facilities/warehouses, IT infrastructure and other investments. The role may also require preparation of financials and presentations for the CFO and CEO
- Offer decision support on matters relating to costing and profitability to drive sales and to assist operations.
- Undertake profit margin analysis whilst reviewing proposals and contracts to ensure their feasibility and profitability.
- To develop and analyse business and investment modelling.
- Bachelor of Business or equivalent with major in finance preferred
- Strong English (spoken and written).
- Minimum 3-year work experience in related field
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Visual Basic (VBA) programming skills considered a requirement.
- Knowledge of SAP BPC preferred.
