 The role

We have an opportunity for an experienced leader to join our team as Plant Supervisor.  Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for safe, sustainable production and associated functions at our Ulverstone site.

This important role will see you influencing people and organisational culture to develop and foster an environment of pride and accountability.  You will lead, support, mentor and reward the achievements of a small, close-knit team.

This role provides the scope to deliver important short and long-term improvements critical for our ongoing growth and profitability within a heavy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently demonstrate the highest levels of commitment to safety
  • Meet operational budgets without compromising plant maintenance, quality or safety
  • Maintain a continuous improvement focus on cost reduction, plant efficiency and process improvement
  • Leading, motivating and inspiring your team
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure production output meets market demands in terms of product availability and quality

What you will need to succeed

  • A track record of success in a manufacturing supervisory role
  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills
  • Personal drive to consistently meet targets and deliver results
  • Demonstrated ability to connect with and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present clear and concise reports
  • Forklift License (or ability to gain one)
  • SAP experience is desirable
