About the role
A rare opportunity to provide real value-add, Operational leadership and direction across our Pre-cast concrete worksite in Gailes, QLD. Reporting into the Regional GM, you will champion business partnering to achieve effective cross functional decision making.
You will build strong relationships with planning, sales and customer service to drive and deliver regional EBIT targets and increased business performance. As part of the Manufacturing Leadership team you will be a supportive mentor and coach, driving your teams to achieve manufacturing excellence across our complex concrete plant.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Influence, monitor and lead Production to deliver on annual budget and financial KPI’s – based on cost and allocation of pipe production
- Act as a mentor and coach to drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and drive to succeed, ensuring employee development and satisfaction is a priority
- Drive home safety performance ensuring environmental compliance, health, safety and well-being of all staff to champion a culture of zero harm
- Promote, encourage and support sound & effective teamwork across your team
- Develop and implement production strategies for the Northern region’s production and capital requirements to maximise the long term profitability and sustainability of the business.
What will you bring?
- Demonstrated practical experience and understanding of pre-cast/pre-stressed concrete manufacturing
- Extensive and demonstrated experience managing large industrial production teams
- Excellent leadership skills with a passion for developing your teams and promoting a positive culture where success is recognised and development encouraged
- Proven knowledge of lean manufacturing principals and processes with a sound understanding of best practice in manufacturing industrial products
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, technical or analytical qualification will be highly regarded
