Macquarie Manufacturing is a successful company operating in the Mining Manufacturing industry with three Offices on the East Coast of Australia.  Our mining sector product lines range from mass produced support equipment through to the design, manufacture, commissioning & support of fully integrated mining systems.  We are leading-edge suppliers of underground monorail systems throughout Australia & abroad, with our innovative systems in high demand.

PURCHASING OFFICER

This is an exciting position as a part of our dedicated team offering an opportunity to fulfil a diverse range of responsibilities and work in a fast-paced and varied role. This is a salary position with additional bonuses included in the package.

 

To be successful in the position you must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the metal supply and manufacturing industry
  • Exposure to Project Supply and Management
  • A strong commercial mindset, focusing on planning and cost efficiencies
  • Ability to manage supply initiatives and supplier performance
  • Working knowledge of MRP, ERP & JIT planning and scheduling
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a small team environment
  • High attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Be a highly organised and motivated individual
