The Role
We are currently looking for a Logistics Manager to join our Supply Chain division. Reporting to the General Manager – Supply Chain, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the logistics support system, providing analytical support and managing the relationship with IT and project manage system upgrades. Other key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Supporting all system facets of the supply chain
- Providing a continuous operating environment of WMS and supporting systems and conducting relevant training
- Monitoring key system functions and investigating any anomalies
- Working closely with key Supply Chain functions, such as DC and 3PL’s, to ensure daily goals are achieved
- Responding to enquiries and issues raised by customers, stores and senior management
- Providing ongoing system effectiveness for ongoing requirements, e.g. new technology logistics practices such as RFID
- Attending regular meetings to report on the status and progress of systems performance KPIs
About You
With experience in logistics warehousing (in particular WMS), you have strong analytical skills and are able to demonstrate these effectively through reporting and flow chart monitoring. You are a strong communicator with a financial acumen and are confident in delivering technical presentations to senior management, which may occasionally require you to travel interstate. Experienced in project management, you strive for success and are continually looking for improvements in your work. You have strong skills in various Microsoft Office programs (including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint), and your tertiary qualification in business logistics or relevant discipline, while not essential, will stand you in good stead.
