Our client, a leading international warehousing and logistics company, is seeking an experienced warehouse team leader for an immediate start. You will effectively use budgeted resources to lead a team of pick/packers, ensuring all service levels and KPI’s are adhered to.
The position is initially based in Arndell Park but will be relocating to a new facility in Erskine Park in the coming months. You will be rostered on a four day on, four day off rotation so work on weekends will be required. The hours are 8am-4pm.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating efficient warehouse operation to ensure al resources are utilized effectively whilst achieving company KPI’s.
- Monitoring employee performance, ensuring all employees are working to the best of their ability to complete tasks within deadlines and professionally handling any issues with performance.
- Planning and coordinating staff, with a focus on cost control, to ensure customer requirements are met whilst ensuring minimum overtime.
- Leading by example by demonstrating a high standard of performance and safety awareness, to establish clear expectations for all employees.
- Ensuring all new staff are inducted and training of standard operating procedures and safe work practices is completed through tool box talks.
- Clearly communicating any complaints through to management and ensuring all interaction with customers or clients, including complaints and escalation handling, is prompt and professional.
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience in a warehouse team leader position
- Have strong administrative skills and be familiar with WMC (Manhattan)
- Hold a valid LF Forklift Licence
- Be able to meet deadlines and work to strict KPI’s.
- Communicate clearly and effectively to employees and customers
- Have experience working in a paperless warehouse and using RF scanners
