The Company
My client is a multinational distributor of consumer products with a standout brand across the entire globe. Due to continuous growth and desire for perfection they are currently looking for an experienced Demand Planner to join their team. Reporting to the Demand Planning and Procurement Manager and with a strong focus on customer service this is a permanent opportunity with possibility of career advancement for the right candidate.
The Role
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Develop forecasts at State and National level for supply planning from relevant sources
- Liaise with sales managers and team for forecast adjustments and demand
- Evaluate and analyse forecast results
- Monitor stock levels in all nationally, and prepare replenishment plans for approval
- Review and analyse historical data, current backorders and market activities
- Prepare required stock reports to set timeframes
- Meet production deadlines
- Support other team members and manager when needed
Preferred Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Exposure to above responsibilities gained in a FMCG, manufacturing or consumer goods environment
- SAP experience a must
- Minimum 3-5 years proven experience in a similar role
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently and meet set deadlines
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work unsupervised with a high level of initiative
