About the role
Reporting to the Regional Logistics Manager, you are responsible for the efficient and cost-effective management of the Branch. This involves overseeing the logistical planning of deliveries, collections and maintenance of the company's fleet of motor vehicles, managing a small to medium team and providing exceptional levels of customer service to all business clients, including the general public, motor repairers/dealers and Insurers.
This includes:
- Ensure the customer is provided with exceptional customer service from initial point of contact through to vehicle return and beyond.
- Ensure the Branch staff are trained and performing at optimal levels.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained, prepared, delivered and collected according to the customer and Company expectations.
- Ensure fleet integrity, including roadworthiness, fleet check accuracy, managing damage control and general maintenance tasks are completed.
- Source and allocate the appropriate vehicles through the database and speaking to other branches.
- Understand and manage your cost centre within allocated budgets, while maintaining SLA’s.
- Develop positive and influential internal relationships throughout the organisation
- Contribute ideas and good proactive business sense to the team and organisation
- Ensure that the Branch meets all WHS requirements.
You will be able to work on a 7-day rotating roster, Monday to Sunday, with the capacity to be reliable and punctual every single day. You will also be able to be on the after-hours on-call roster until 9pm between Monday and Sunday. This occurs less than once a month.
Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum of one year of experience managing staff.
- Minimum of three years of experience within a face to face customer service role.
- A full and clean driver’s licence, a motorbike is an advantage but not a necessity.
- Physically able to wash and prepare vehicles for delivery.
- An understanding of how motor vehicles operate.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle clients with complete professionalism including dispute resolution.
- Ability to solve logistical problems and keep clients informed in a fast-paced environment.
- Organised with good time management.
- Tech savvy and able to use company software & iPads with ease.
- Attention to detail and diligence.
- Honesty and integrity.
- Work effectively under pressure.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience as a Branch Manager and/or in the repair/automotive industry and/or fleet operations.
