The opportunity
We have an excellent opportunity that exists in our Group Procurement Team for a Procurement Operations Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and effective operational procurement department, liaising and working with our business stakeholders to ensure that procurement processes are implemented and operationally managed for the QBE Australia and Group divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement operations purchasing team to provide an effective service to the business and align purchasing processes
- Support and manage implementation of Procure to Pay (P2P) and run the P2P operations with the requirement to continually develop the program for QBE
- Support training and implementation of global procurement infrastructure projects
- Support the business and Procurement team with their purchasing process requirements
- Oversee and deliver key reporting and data to demonstrate P2P program performance and support Procurement Sourcing teams
- Effective performance management and coaching of direct reports
- Contribute to the preparation and implementation of operational team plans
- Determine own work priorities and activities in line with agreed plans to ensure the achievement of personal and team objectives
What does success look like?
- Experience in project delivery and driving change
- Solid Finance, procurement system experience
- Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Relevant Academic qualifications
- Experience managing people in an operational role
- Advanced Microsoft Excel using macros, logic statements, V look-up and pivot tables
- Capability to produce PowerPoint presentations using graphs and data
- Experience with extracting data from complex systems including Oracle or SAP
- Ability to present information concisely and to clearly identify key issues and interpret patterns of data
- Ability to build professional relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers
