We are a small/medium locally owned manufacturer and wholesaler of building related products. We have had strong organic growth over the last few years, and with the right people we are looking to accelerate this growth.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, inquisitive and energetic person to ensure we procure, manufacture and hold the correct levels of inventory to meet our increasing demand.

Key Responsibilities include :

• Review inventory holdings against agreed levels
• Process purchase orders or raise manufacture orders to replenish stock.
• Prepare documentation and  liaise with shipping brokers for imports and exports.
• Run regular cycle counts and analyse variances.
• Maintain strong relationships with key vendors
• Review opportunities to identify alternative supply arrangements where required.
• Provide reports to management on key inventory performance indicators.

The successful applicant ideally has the following skills and attributes:

• Prior purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment and preferably with import/export experience
• Good Excel skills and affinity for working within inventory systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work and collaborate with the many parts of the business  you interact with, will be key to your success in the role. 
• Good planning and attention to detail.

The role reports to the General Manager, and there is scope for the right individual to develop and broaden the role in the medium term.
