We are seeking a commercially focused Supply Chain Head to join our Brisbane based Manufacturing & Packaging site.  Our state-of-the-art facility operates with a high degree of complexity and a continual focus on improvement in efficiency and quality. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of a highly effective production plan that reflects business requirements on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Timely procurement of materials required to support this plan
  • Management of the warehouse including the accuracy and level of stock on site
  • Performance and development of the Production planning and warehouse teams
  • The design and continual improvement of production planning and procurement systems, including the refinement of the ERP system to improve planning effectiveness
  • Establishment and management of production schedules and tracking of performance
  • Identification of issues and obstacles to improvement of plan stability, inventory levels, batch sizes, manufacturing costs, capacity utilisation, customer service levels, Plant Cycle time (PCT), supplier performance and involvement in the improvement of these outcomes
  • The optimisation of inventory levels and administration of the cyclic stocktaking program to ensure maintained high levels of stock accuracy and minimisation of Slow Moving / Obsolete Stock (SLOB)
  • Management of the departmental budget
  • Ensuring compliance of company and regulatory policies, procedures and objectives within the planning department

Key criteria for this role include:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management from an FMCG or Pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience in contributing to the development of a customer focused planning department including ongoing cross functional relationships
  • A strong proven safety approach and focus  
  • Exceptional leadership capability with a focus on growing and developing your team
  • Excellent relationship, influencing and customer service skills
  • A Business, logistics or related qualification   
  • Advanced knowledge in SAP and Microsoft office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong Technical problem solving and analysis skills and a proven ability to manage project budgets and schedules
  • The ability to prioritise and adapt to a changing environment
